A flat rack is a container reduced to its floor and two end walls — no sides, no roof. The end walls fold flat when not needed. What remains is an ISO-cornered steel deck rated for very heavy point loads.
Two quite different buyers
Freight and plant movers use them for anything too wide, tall or heavy for a closed box: machinery, boats, transformers, structural steel, pipe.
Builders and owner-builders use them as a platform — a ready-made, craneable, ISO-compatible base for a deck, a modular structure, or a temporary bridge, at a fraction of what fabricating one costs.
